crispy bacon brussels sprouts salad recipe

Serves : servings 

Ingredients : 
- ½ pound bacon, chopped
- 1 pound Brussels sprouts, ends removed, halved (see note)
- 1½ tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup
- Juice of ½ lemon

Preparation Method :
1) In a large skillet over high heat, cook the bacon, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes, or until it starts to turn brown. Add the Brussels sprouts and cook, stirring occasionally, for an additional 5 minutes.

2) In a small bowl, whisk together the mustard, maple syrup, and lemon juice. Pour over the Brussels sprouts mixture and cook for 5 minutes, then remove from the heat and serve.

NOTES :
You want the Brussels sprouts to be roughly the same size, so if there are a few that are really small, don’t halve them; alternatively, if there are some that are really big, halve or even quarter them.
