chocolate peanut butter swirl fudge recipe

MAKES : 24 PIECES

Ingredients : 
- ½ cup creamy peanut butter
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
- 2 cups good-quality semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk

Preparation Method :
1) Line an 8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on two sides to aid in lifting out later, and set aside.

2) In a small, microwave-safe bowl, microwave the peanut butter for 30 seconds on HIGH, remove from the microwave, stir in powdered sugar, and set aside.

3) Place the chocolate chips in a medium-large, microwave-safe bowl and pour the condensed milk over them (it’s okay if the entire can is not emptied; no need to scrape the can contents out). Microwave for 30 seconds on HIGH. Remove from the microwave and stir. Repeat, microwaving for 30 seconds and stirring, until the chips are completely melted (1 minute, or two intervals of heating; microwave for another 10 seconds if everything is not melted).

4) The mixture will start to thicken pretty quickly, so as soon as it is all stirred together, spread it into the prepared baking pan, spoon the peanut butter mixture on top of the chocolate and, with a spatula or butter knife, swirl the peanut butter mixture into the chocolate.

5) Put the fudge in the freezer for 30 minutes (or in the fridge for an hour) and remove it from the freezer. Remove the fudge from the pan by lifting the parchment paper by its edges. Cut the fudge square into three rows and each row into eight pieces.

6) Serve and enjoy or place in the refrigerator for storage.

NOTE :
If you don’t like peanut butter, you can make plain chocolate fudge without the peanut butter swirl.
